2024 Ukulele Share Day

5th Grade students did such a wonderful job this year with our "Ukulele Share Day!" Back in January, I invited students to learn a song of their choice to perform for their classmates. They practiced at home and at school during music class. Some students chose to learn songs they found online, others learned chords of songs by ear, and a few made up their own songs. This is one of my favorite things I do with my students each year. One of my goals is to promote independent musicianship. That means that the students should be able to make a multitude of musical decisions without help from me. I love hearing what they can accomplish and seeing their enthusiasm for music.
