About Me

My name is Erika Novoselich. This is my fifteenth year teaching in Hudsonville Public Schools. Before coming to Hudsonville, I taught elementary music in Parchment School District.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Michigan State University and a master's degree in Music Education from the University of Florida. I am also certified in Music Learning Theory for Level 1 Elementary General Music.

I grew up singing and playing the French horn, and I have been a member of several bands, orchestras, and choirs. During my undergrad, I taught Early Childhood music classes at MSU’s Community Music School for three years.

Here are some things that I love: my family, tie-dye, Lake Michigan, harmonizing to songs on the radio, Michigan State's campus, my ukulele, spaghetti with garlic bread, playing disc golf, learning more about music and teaching, fall weather, daisies, the Michigan State Spartan Marching Band (I was in it!), and rainbows.

My husband, Iain Novoselich, is also a music teacher! He is the Director of Bands at Grand Haven Area Public Schools. His website can be found here. We live in Grand Haven with our two sons, George and Doug.
