Sarasponda Chord Roots

3rd graders have already gotten very good at figuring out and singing chord roots to songs that use tonic and dominant. Now, they are working on identifying subdominant as well! In this song, you will hear them sing "do", which is the chord root of tonic, "so", which is the chord root of dominant, and "fa", which is the chord root of subdominant.

In this video, they are labeling the chord function by singing "tonic", "dominant", and "SD" (short for subdominant).
